Representative transactions and experience include:
- Acting for Cargill Financial Markets plc and Teesside Power Holdings Limited ("TPHL") in their victory in the High Court against Barclays Bank plc (as agent for a syndicate of 25 other banks) in connection with their respective interests in Teesside Power Limited
- Acting for 3 Eritrean banks in an International Chamber of Commerce arbitration. We are pursuing claims for fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of contract for approximately $40million. The claims arise out of a failed project to computerise the entire Eritrean banking system
- Acting for General Mills on their global data protection and trans border data flow agreements
- Acting for Fair Isaac Corporation in its £166.2 million takeover of London Bridge Software Holdings plc, a leading supplier of credit management and debt collection systems. The acquisition enabled the company to develop its UK and European business and provides both with access to a broader range of products and services
- Acting for HoMedics in its acquisition of Salter Group, a well known UK based consumer products company that manufactures precision measurement products
- Advising leading US based software company, UGS, on its acquisition of D-Cubed Ltd, the first investment UGS made since it became independent from global business and technology solutions provider, EDS.
