Career Growth
We strongly believe in developing our internal staff and promoting from within the Firm.
Faegre & Benson's Legal Administrative Intern Program
- We began our internship program in July 1992 to give graduates from legal administrative assistant training programs the opportunity to join a law firm without having previous experience. The program offers on-the-job training to supplement school training programs. This additional training is essential in giving a new Legal Administrative Assistant the confidence and expertise needed to be successful.
Each intern selected to be a part of our program will spend the first three months of employment receiving specialized training and direction from an experienced LAA Supervisor trainer. Interns will be provided with intensive one-on-one training reviewing and working on all legal administrative functions (and methods) at Faegre & Benson. Upon successful completion of the 3-month internship, there is a promotion to a Legal Administrative Assistant in the Floater Group.
Legal Administrative Assistant Trainee Program
- The trainee program was developed to give existing, entry-level staff the opportunity to pursue a career as a Legal Administrative Assistant. Once accepted into the program, the trainee will work one-on-one with an experienced Supervisor trainer for approximately one year. In this year, while performing the job duties of a trainee, they must also fulfill specific requirements to "graduate" to the Legal Administrative Assistant Intern program.
