Lateral Hires: Making the Transition

We provide a comprehensive lateral integration process, designed to minimize bureaucracy, speed up your introduction and orientation to the firm, and deliver the support needed to get your practice up and running. We work with you to develop an appropriate plan to maximize cross-marketing opportunities for your practice and we provide in-firm and, in many cases, external publicity related to your hiring.

Our primary goals are to integrate laterals into our culture quickly and assure a smooth, well-organized transition. As a lateral, you can expect the following support:

  • We promptly provide orientation materials on our policies, benefits, procedures, and culture;
  • We coordinate with our administrative staff to prepare for your arrival and make sure you have the tools you need from day one;
  • Your administrative assistant will help you manage the details of transition, including the transfer of files and opening new matters;
  • Lawyers in your practice area will help you meet other lawyers around the firm and get you involved in meetings with other practice groups with which you'll be working;

Most of all, we offer a supportive and welcoming practice environment that makes laterals quickly feel a part of their new team.
