Bill Callison has broad practice experience emphasizing corporate law, partnership and LLC law, tax law and affordable housing finance.
His corporate, partnership and LLC practice is diverse and includes forming and financing business entities, counseling clients on operational matters and preparing contracts and related documents, corporate and partnership mergers and acquisitions, and advising entities concerning dissolution and dissociation. Bill serves as an expert witness in numerous matters involving corporate, partnership, limited partnership and limited liability company disputes, and he is a commercial arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
Bill's affordable housing practice is national in scope and encompasses low-income housing tax credit syndications and creative debt financing. He also has extensive experience implementing historic rehabilitation tax credits and New Markets Tax Credits.
Bill is a frequent lecturer and writer on business law topics, including partnership and LLC law, and he has served on the editorial board for Business Law Today, a publication of the American Bar Association Business Section. He has also served on numerous law school faculties. Most recently, he was the Feeney Professor of Business Law at the University of Ottawa School of Law, where he taught a course on U.S. business organization law.
